A functional safety assessment method for cooperative automotive architecture
نویسندگان
چکیده
The scope of automotive functions has grown from a single vehicle as an entity to multiple vehicles working together entity, referred cooperative driving. current safety standard, ISO 26262, is designed for vehicles. With the increasing number driving capable on road, it now imperative systematically assess functional architectures these Many methods are proposed with respect different quality attributes in software architecture domain, but best our knowledge, assessment not explored literature. We present method, that leverages existing research and engineering domains, check whether requirements scenario fulfilled technical vehicle. apply method real-life academic prototype scenario, platooning, discuss insights.

Extending Automotive SPICE to Cover Functional Safety Requirements and a Safety Architecture
This paper discusses (based on Automotive industry examples) how the functional and requirements traceability concepts in Automotive SPICE had to be extended to cover the criteria and content demanded by ISO 26262. In a second section the paper describes how these new concepts are considered in the integrated Automotive SPICE and Safety assessment approach which was proposed by the SOQRATES ini...
متن کاملRisk Assessment and Functional Safety Analysis to Design Safety Function of a Human-Cooperative Robot
Human-cooperative robots (HCRs) are expected to benefit various industries, and many studies related to physical human-robot interactions have been conducted (Moore et al., 2003; Kim et al., 2005; Tsuji et & Tanaka, 2005); some HCRs have been gradually introduced in manufacturing and welfare fields. For instance, power-assist systems in manufacturing assist workers in carrying heavy modular par...

The Problem: In 2010, over 20.3 million vehicles were recalled. Software issues related to automotive controls such as cruise control, anti-lock braking system, traction control and stability control, account for an increasingly large percentage of the overall vehicles recalled. There is a need for new and scalable methods to evaluate automotive controls in a realistic and open setting. We have...
متن کاملLACASA: A Layered Architecture for Cooperative Active Safety Applications
The future of Intelligent Transportation Systems is intertwined with the development, implementation, and penetration of distributed sensing and communications networks. We propose a general, cooperative, holistic active safety framework, LACASA, that can make immediate and significant impacts on safety as part of a stand-alone driver assistance systems in vehicles. The cooperative modularity o...
متن کاملUsing a Parametric Method for Investigating Automotive Crashworthiness
Parametric design optimization of an automotive body crashworthiness improvement is presented. The thicknesses of parts are employed as design variables for optimization whose objective is to increase the maximum deceleration value of the vehicle center of gravity during an impact. Using the Taguchi method, this study analyzes the optimum conditions for design objectives and the impact factors ...
